Websites by Richard Pratt!
So, I do web stuff. I design sites, build sites, revise sites, maintain sites, and write crazy PHP codes for things. I operate mainly with Macromedia software, mostly in Dreamweaver and Fireworks, but I do a good deal of my coding by hand. I strive to make my sites HTML 4.01 and CSS standards-compliant and valid and all of that stuff, as well as go the extra mile and make my coding all zen-like as to make style changing easy.
Some of the sites I maintain are:
- HarborLightsCoffeeHouse.com
- This site is unique from other sites I've made, as this is my first swing at a site with a content management system. The control panel allows the owner to create and edit pages which load into the menu with the name and order they assign, and the htaccess is updated to make the URLs (which are determined by user input as well) friendly.
- KansasAuction.net
- My day job! This site was originally created by the owner, but was recoded and spiffed up and is maintained by me.
- GannonAuctions.com
- An extension of my day job. This design's all mine.
- OswaltAuction.com
- Another extension of my day job. Again, all my work... based loosely on my previous work.
- RuckertAuctions.com
- Yet another extension of my day job. Myyyyy work.
- RWauctions.com
- Day job. On a whim I decided to go with something more... adjective. The music on the page was not my decision, but came from the old site. Clients. You have to deal with them, you know?
- KisnersAuction.com
- Another part of the ol' day job, another rip from my Gannon theme.
- Collector-Bookstore.com
- My day job is very extended. The design is adapted from CollectorBookstore.com to be less poorly coded and displayed.
- KansasAuctioneers.com
- Again with my day job. This is my layout and coding and such, a lot of the information taken from a previous version of the site. Be sure to notice "Current Members," which is a PHP/MySQL database of my coding.
- KansasLandRush.com
- Day job, yep. There's not really much to this site. A nice little splash page leading to a WordPress blog updated by auctioneers selling real estate. I would be shocked if it ever did validate.
